Specialties:
I am a Registered Social Worker with a passion for learning how our attachments and relationships with others, our relationships with ourselves, and how we relate to the world around us affect our sense of balance and wellness. This is often the root cause of anxiety, which current somatic and relational approaches to therapy recognize as a natural nervous system response to anything that upsets that sense of safety.
My approach to therapy is a blend of thought-feeling-body awareness and processing that integrates mind-based practices like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, body-based somatic practices, and embraces the spirit of our inner selves through recognition of the human need for creativity, connection and healthy attachment in our relationships, whether with a partner, family, friends, work or the community around us.
I work with a gentle yet direct, inquiry-based method to help discover the root cause of feelings, thoughts and behaviours that may be interfering with living from a place of balance in our relationships, work and life that we most often desire.
