Hi! My name is Diane and I am a Registered Psychotherapist providing therapy for teens and adults. As a trauma-informed therapist, I provide a compassionate, supportive, and judgement-free space for you to explore more about yourself and the areas that have shaped your lived experiences.

Beginning therapy is hard work as it requires from you a deep commitment to dive into areas that for some have been pushed away. Therapy is about learning more about ourselves by developing awareness, understanding, and compassion for the experiences that have left us feeling “stuck” and struggling to move forward. My role in this process is creating a space where you will feel safe and supported to reflect on your experiences and to help you to learn more about the thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviors that may have evolved over time and to understand their roles in creating and maintaining the concerns that led you to begin therapy.

Using an integrative approach, I draw on different therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT,

Unified Protocol, and EMDR, to help people remember their experiences, identify the narratives

about these experiences, and develop an understanding about how these narratives impact your overall mental and emotional wellbeing. Sometimes this process involves assessing our thoughts about experiences and learning new ways to think in order to help change the way we feel.

Engaging in this process, as I mentioned before, is hard work and can feel uncomfortable attimes. My role is to offer guidance and support as you sit with the discomfort safely and tosupport you in learning new ways to manage various emotions and behaviors.

As a therapist with over 9 years of experience, I have supported many individuals of various ages in making changes. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you for a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine a therapeutic fit.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me (or maybe not) hiking multiday backpacking treks in some of Canada’s most beautiful secluded places, or bike riding on some trails, or growing food in my garden.
