Sliding Scale Therapy
CW Therapy is proud to support education and provide high quality therapy services at a lower fee for those facing financial strain, wanting to make their benefits coverage go further, or who do not have benefits for therapy.

Low rate therapy sessions are offered by Master's level student therapists. Each student is carefully selected to ensure our clients continue to receive the high level of care they have come to expect at CW Therapy and are under the direct supervision of Lindsay Wetmore and Stacey Cook.

Booking with a student therapist offers a unique blend of affordability, innovative care, and the assurance of professional supervision, making it a valuable option for those seeking effective and compassionate mental health support.

Sliding scale therapy is offered in both Oakville and Georgetown. As of September 2024, our student therapists are Stephanie Moore and Lejla Selimovic.

What is Sliding Scale Therapy?
Sliding scale therapy sessions are provided by student therapists. Student therapists are working toward earning a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. At this stage of their education, student therapists are working to complete their in-class education and have now entered the internship portion of their education to support integration of learning. Each MSW student is required to perform a set number of clinic hours before graduating.

Benefits of Booking with a Student Therapist
Quality Care at a Reduced Rate
CW Therapy is a collaborative clinic in which all therapists work together to ensure each client receives the highest possible level of care. Student therapists work under the direct supervision of Lindsay and Stacey, owners of CW Therapy. This means the clients of the students at CW receive the benefit of a strong circle of care and professional guidance at a reduced session fee.

Passion and Dedication
Student therapists are just beginning their career and bring enthusiasm, energy, and a fresh perspective to the field of therapy. They are highly motivated to succeed and make a positive impact in the lives of their clients, often going the extra mile to ensure each client gets the individualized support they need. They are empathetic and dedicated to the success of each individual client.
Because they are still learning, student therapists research and apply the best evidence based practices for the presenting concerns of the clients they are supporting. Research shows that paired with supervision, this makes them as effective in creating change as seasoned therapists.*

Personalized Attention
Student therapists often have a smaller caseload than a seasoned professional, allowing them to give more focused and personalized attention to each client. Eager to learn, they collaborate with their more experienced colleagues to develop their techniques and tailor each session to working toward each client's specific goals.

The high level of personalized attention can lead to strong therapist-client bonds that enable clients to feel safe and supported. This therefore leads to deep and impactful change, enabling clients to lead full and meaningful lives.
